Brave web browser co-founded by former Mozilla CEO Brendan Eich has raised $4.5 million in seed funding for the continued development of its open-source browser that blocks online ads and other trackers. It is not like other browsers like different web browsers where no ad-blocking takes place. Brave’s browser has this technology built in, claiming not only to offer users more privacy but also increased speed and performance.
The brave web browser was released on 2016 and with the passage of time, its new versions start launching. Some of them are:
- 1.0.23 / June 14, 2017
- 1.3.3 / May 11, 2017
- 0.17.13 dev / June 30, 2017
The price of Brave web browser does not exist. You have to just go to the google, search Brave browser by name and download it for your laptop and enjoy its awesome services. It is a free and open-source web browser.
The new thing is the desktop version offers a 40 to 60 percent speed increase and a 2x to 4x speed increase on mobile devices. Mobile users will also see less battery consumption and data usage just because of its ad-blocking and script-blocking features.
It comes with a variety of security and safety features, as well, including support for encrypted data traffic via HTTPS Everywhere, and fingerprinting shields.
How Does It Work?
Brave web browser is off to a good start, and with a recent report stating 80% of Internet users would consider using an ad blocker, there’s clearly a market for it. The challenge will be getting people to switch, which has proven daunting for Microsoft Edge. Its extensions and plugins will work because it is chromium based so that might make the work easier.
It helps you to get in touch with not only just web pages but truly active, interactive apps, even video conferencing and gaming. If you want to handle advanced 3D visualizations simply use your camera and microphone. Fortunately, choice in Web browsers is only growing, after something of a period of stagnation.

In its current state, Brave web-browser 0.7 is mighty primitive. You can’t even load a bookmark file, and most basic menu items are missing and you will have found at least one repeatable bug. Go to YouTube, start any video, and then hit the reload key (F5). The video will not reload. You’ll be staring at a blank space where the video should be.

Without a browser, you cannot get on the web but after reaching there, the ideal browser would just disappear. In last few years, browsers have evolved widgets to make themselves more valuable, such as bookmarks, plugins, filters and pop-up ad blockers.
The browser works well. Like Chrome, you have to manually enter URLs, or paste them in since there is no bookmark file.
This is really where you see the difference. Pages load instantly. You can’t really benchmark page loads since they happen faster than You can start/stop the stopwatch. The things you can load up instantly with the Brave browser are pages with a lot of ads and other junk, ranging from Amazon to Fark to NewEgg to eBay.
If we talk about its design then it is a Chromium-based which means that its performance and web compatibility is very similar to other browsers based on Chromium.
Brave’s Competition Now
The brave browser is making its value in market day-by-day, even though it is no longer being enhanced by Microsoft. Chrome takes second place with 24 percent. The second tier is made up of Firefox (6 percent), Safari (4 percent) and Opera (2 percent).
If we sum up all the qualities of this browser, we will get to know these important points:
- The brave web browser can stop ad tracking and serve you anonymous replacement ads.
- can load pages much faster by circumventing the bloat from adware.
- It helps to create a user community around the browser.
- The browser can completely disappear ads, if you pay for the service, either with your preferred payment method or with payments you accrue by running Brave in ad replacement mode.
Visit Brave web browser at its official website and you’ll see that it’s built on two promises that are speed and security. According to the Brendan Eich, both improvements come from the browser blocking ads and trackers. It can load pages more quickly. As you already know, blocking all the intrusive ads means you don’t compromise your privacy as greatly.
